  • CONTEXTUALIZATION IN THE BRAZILIAN AND INTERNATIONAL HEALTH SYSTEM

Considering that Brazil is a country in growing political and economic influence, the Professional Master’s in Health Organizations Management of FMRP/USP has as one of its goals to assist in the training of professionals from other countries for the management of health services, adapting the knowledge acquired here to their realities. Similarly, when receiving students from other countries, it aims to know in depth the health system of their nations, making possible the employment, in our country, of successful experiences in the management of sanitary conditions.

  • POTENTIALS OFFERED BY THE INSERTION OF THE PROGRAM IN FMRP-USP AND ITS HEALTH COMPLEX (WHY CHOOSE THE PROFESSIONAL MASTER PROGRAM IN GOS)

The GOS Professional Master’s Degree covers essential approaches to achieving its goals.

It should be highlighted that GOS is part of FMRP-USP, whose graduate courses is of undeniable excellence, providing the student with numerous resources, including those available for the entire University of São Paulo.

Another point worth mentioning is the interaction with the Health Complex of the General Hospital of FMRP-USP, which has facilities in the various levels of complexity of the Unified Health System. This partnership guarantees to our students the possibility of evaluating in practice the management techniques studied.

In addition to the insertion in the SUS, the Complex has a fundamental partnership with the Foundation for Support to Teaching, Research and Assistance of the HCFMRP-USP, which manages part of the service facilities, through a management agreement between the Government and the Social Organization, thus enabling the contact with new management modalities that are making SUS feasible.

The Program goal’s comprises social inclusion in models of Supplementary Health Care to ensure the student’s experience with the models of health organizations of the Brazilian Health System.

The partnership with the School of Economics, Business Administration and Accounting at Ribeirão Preto of USP allows access to the new management modalities available. Other partnerships with other USP Facilities are under prospection, such as the SUPERA Park that is inserted into our disciplines to broaden the concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Our body of supervisors is composed of professionals from all these institutions, and many of them are managers of health organizations with acknowledged experience, being references to government sectors in the research lines of the Program.

The profile of the students who choose the program is also a differential. Most of our students are already in the job market and graduated in various professions, promoting the exchange of ideas between the Academy and the Society. Thus, at the same time that the Academy disseminates its knowledge, it is also influenced by an important part of the productive sector of the Society.
